Guo Guangchang , the Chairman of Fosun Group, was awarded the Outstanding Contribution Award of Guangcai Program, which was the first time for Guangcai Program to give such an award since its establishment 15 years ago, with 35 other entrepreneurs in the China Society Promotion of the Guangcai Program on 20 April.
As a deputy to the National People’s Congress, Vice Chairman of Chinese Youth Entrepreneurs Assionciation, Mr. Guo Guangchang is committed to achieve the win-win outcome of the company and society. Fosun has paid tax aggregated to RMB 21.1 billion and had been the largest tax payer for 4 consecutive years and ranked 3rd in top 500 Chinese enterprises and groups in 2008. Fosun has provided 70 thousand jobs to alleviate employment pressure to a large extent.
Fosun endeavors enthusiastically to take part in Guangcai Program by investing in the remote and western areas. Fosun has directly invested over RMB 3 billion yuan in Guangxi, Sichuan, Chongqing, Hebei, Henan, Anhui etc., not only boosting the local economy but also promoting the employment which wins its reputation from the local governments.
Fosun has strongly supported the charity programs and devoted much in Guangcai Program. For 16 years, Fosun has donated RMB 450 million to charity including Guangcai Program. After the earthquake in 2008, Fosun has donated RMB 155 million, both in cash and goods
