Tensile strength of Fosun Poglycolic Acid suture

Fosun synthetic absorbable suture has strong ertensile strength than normal silk and catgut suture that braided. It will be kept about 90% on the first week since in the tissue and about 50% on the three week.

Absorbable

The absorbable character is different in different tissues. In general ,the PGA suture would be absorbable after 15 days ,after 30 days would be absorbable largely and it would be absolutely absorbable in 60 days to 90 days.

Fosun/Meiyi brand synthetic absorbable suture is made of high-quality stainless steel of medical application, firmly combining with synthetic absorbable suture of medical application, applied to suture soft tissues on human body. The suture thread, employed on surgical suture needle with thread of medical application, is made of POLYGLYCOLIC ACID which molecular formula is (C₂H₂O₂)n by weaving and processing finely. The suture thread and its coat are covered with inert, non-antigenic and non-pyrogenic polymeric imide and stearic calcium. The suture and its coat can be absorbed by human body through degradation and its degradation have no reverse action on human body.
